Several algorithms are developed to produce optical correlation filter
s for obscured inputs. Each algorithm is optimal for a different set o
f performance criteria. Computer simulations using binary inputs indic
ate that some algorithms operate over a wide range of obscurations (do
wn to 5% of the input) while others have restricted operating ranges.
