Oculodermal melanocytosis (nevus of Ota) is an abnormally large accumu
lation of pigment in ocular tissues as well as the skin in the distrib
ution of the trigeminal nerve. Elevated intraocular pressure is a seri
ous complication of this disease, as well as transformation of maligna
nt melanoma. We report a case of nevus of Ota, documented clinically a
nd histopathologically, associated with severe chronic glaucoma.
