Abstract
High-frequency wavelength modulation spectroscopy and dual beam absorp tion noise canceler methods are compared for near-infrared laser detec tion of moisture at levels relevant to airborne hygrometry. Both techn iques exhibit sensitivities exceeding -85 degrees C frost point, with subsecond time response. The application of these techniques to airbor ne hygrometric instrumentation is discussed.
