Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) was immobilized onto a membrane of the re
generated silk fibroin (RSF) from waste silk, The structure of the ble
nd membrane of RSF and HRP was characterized by the use of IR spectra.
A second generation of H2O2 sensor on the basis of the immobilized HR
P was fabricated, in which tetrathiafulvalene acts as mediating electr
on transfer between the immobilized enzyme and a glassy carbon electro
de. Dependencies of pH and temperature on the H2O2 biosensor were chec
ked by utilizing cyclic voltammetry. The sensor exhibits high sensitiv
ity, good reproducibility and storage stability. (C) 1998 Published by
