New calculations of the low-energy electron attachment cross section t
o metallic clusters are reported. We include all the bound states of t
he negative ion as possible final states for attachment and calculate
the electron attachment cross section, which results in more spectra s
tructure than previously reported. The calculations are more refined t
han earlier work, in that they no longer depend on experimental optica
l cross section data. Instead, an RPAE calculation of the collective r
esonance in the cluster is performed.
