Abstract
A novel Annonaceous acetogenin, donnaienin (1), was isolated from the
roots of Goniothalamus donnaiensis. Its structure and stereochemistry
were elucidated on the basis of spectral data and chemical evidence. T
his compound represents an unusual type of Annonaceous acetogenin, bea
ring a hydroxylated tetrahydrofuran ring.
