Abstract
A cationic polymer of n-butyl methacrylate was prepared in an emulsifi er-free system. Using, as a base, a 30% solid content, the variables s tudied were the monomer and initiator concentrations, the agitation, a nd the temperature. The molecular weight, the zeta potential, and the particle size were determined. The results are compared with earlier w ork done on similar systems. (C) 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
