A gamma-ray detector system ''NYMPHS'' was built for Be-7-gamma coinci
dence measurements to separate (Li-7, Be-7(g.s)) and (Li-7, B-7(0.43Me
V)) channels in the (Li-7,Be-7) reaction at intermediate energies. NYM
PHS is composed of 22 GSO scintillators, each with a volume of about 3
0 cm(3). A typical energy resolution was about 9% at E-gamma = 0.66 Me
V. The absolute detection efficiency of NYMPHS was 0.200 +/- 0.005 for
the 0.43 MeV Be-7 gamma-ray. NYMPHS combined with a magnetic spectrog
raph showed good performance for Be-7-gamma coincidence measurements i
n the (Li-7,Be-7) reactions on C-12 and Zr-90 targets at E-L = 65A MeV
