Abstract
In this letter the time-domain transmission matrix T of lossy transmis sion lines is numerically derived by the method of characteristics wit hout employing any convolution and Fourier transform, and some interes ting properties about the matrix are given. The transmission lines can be uniform or nonuniform. Transmission line parameters are explicit i n the matrix, which makes it very useful in some practical application s.
