Abstract
The numerical solution of first order Volterra integro-differential eq uations of neutral type with continuous kernel is considered. Prelimin ary results from the application of extended backward differentiation methods are given and comparisons are made with Adams-Bashforth / Adam s-Moulton predictor-corrector methods and collocation methods.
