Dy. Khaliullin et Sa. Tretyakov, GENERALIZED IMPEDANCE-TYPE BOUNDARY-CONDITIONS FOR THIN PLANAR LAYERSOF VARIOUS MEDIA (REVIEW), Journal of communications technology & electronics, 43(1), 1998, pp. 12-25
For thin planar layers, a detailed comparative analysis of the differe
nt generalized (containing the derivatives with re spect to the fields
) boundary conditions or the impedance type is given, For a dielectric
layer, several versions of the boundary conditions suitable for solvi
ng different physical problems art: presented, based on the exact expr
essions For rile Fourier-transformed components of the electric and ma
gnetic fields tangential to the surface. Numerical examples for the re
flection and transmission coefficients are given. The physical approac
h developed in this paper enables one to generalize the results for la
yers of more complex materials, such sis inhomogeneous media and mater
ials with complicated electromagnetic properties. Inhomogeneous dielec
tric layers are considered, as well as ferrite and other bianisotropic
thin layers.
