Abstract
The integrated training programme SimConsult is based upon a tradition al business simulation game and supplemented by a training programme, a dictionary and and expert system as tutorial components. The softwar e has been tested under genuine teaching conditions at the University of Mainz and its practicability and usefulness have been evaluated. Th e response to SimConsult was mainly positive, although the students' a nswers had been negatively influenced by a slow computer performance.
