Abstract
Simultaneous pressure-velocity measurements have been used to assess t he effect of instantaneous conical roof edge vortex position on roof s uctions. Instantaneous surface pressures associated with particular in stantaneous onset gusts angles are compared to time-averaged mean pres sures associated with mean onset angles in order to assess the applica bility of quasi-steady theory to conical-vortex-induced roof loading.
