Magic-angle spinning C-13 spectra are reported for six bisphenol-A alk
anoates, usually with cross-polarisation. These reveal effects arising
from crystallographic non-equivalence, molecular motion (phenylene ri
ng-flipping) and noncrystalline forms. The data are complemented by DS
C and solution-state NMR measurements. Apparently inhomogeneous ring-f
lipping for some of the compounds is discussed.
