Jk. Hwang et al., CLOSE DOUBLET STRUCTURES IN MO-103, RU-109,RU-111, AND NEIGHBORS - ROTATION-ALIGNMENT FOR THE HALF-FILLED H(11 2) SUBSHELL/, Journal of physics. G, Nuclear and particle physics, 24(1), 1998, pp. 9-16
Several new gamma transitions are assigned to Mo-103 and Ru-109,Ru-111
in a gamma-gamma-gamma coincidence study from the spontaneous fission
of Cf-252 With :72 Compton suppressed Ge detectors in Gammasphere. A
close doublet structure of an odd-parity band except near its bandhead
is a common feature not only of the nuclei studied here but of many o
thers with 61 less than or equal to N less than or equal to 67. This d
oubler structure may be a general consequence of rotation alignment fo
r configurations of half-filled j-shells, which are only weakly couple
d to the deformed shapes.
