Abstract
We question the validity of the multiolicity data [D+/-] = 0.43 +/- 0 .07 in e(+)e(-) annihilation at root s = 29-35 GeV which is listed in each version of Review of Particle Properties since 1990 when the data were first included (see for example the latest version: The Particle Data Group 1996 Phys. Rev. D 54). After analysing six; sets of data p rovided by five different collaborations, we derive the world average value: [D+/-] = 0.23 +/- 0.02. This result is in contradiction with t hat listed in Review of Particle Properties.
