Abstract
Interleukin-8 immunoreactivity was detected in porcine bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) cells as soon as three hours postinfection in vitro with porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV), using th e immunofluorescence method. Also the number of TGF-beta but not that of TNF-alpha BAL cells slightly increased after the infection. No IFN- alpha cells were detectable.
