Abstract
The treatment of a severe post-burn contracture of the left hand is pr esented. A free scapular flap was transplanted to the inguinal area an d then used to release the contracture in the manner of a pedicled gro in flap. The advantages of this method are that it can be utilized reg ardless of the condition of the recipient site, and the major vessels of the hand remain intact.
