Abstract
We present a method for the construction of complete congruences on la ttices of pseudovarieties, thereby generalizing and unifying the conce pt of radical congruence system and other constructions invented by Pe trich and Reilly. For similarly defined classes such as varieties, gen eralized varieties, quasivarieties, existence varieties, etc., similar methods can be obtained. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
