Abstract
Differential display technique was applied to study expression of RNA in tumorigenic and nontumorigenic cell variants of avian sarcoma virus transformed hamster cells. Methodical conditions were worked out, whi ch allowed identifying a cDNA fragment of an unknown gene expressed in nontumorigenic cell variant only. Its role in tumor suppression remai ns to be determined.
