THE INFORMATIVE APPROACH TO STATISTICAL-ANALYSIS OF AROMATIC SUBSTITUENT PARAMETERS

The ''informative'' approach, an optimum design methodology, has been applied to one of the most used empirical models of substituent effect s, that of Topsom and Taft. A series of stable matrices have been buil t following different criteria, such as avoiding points at the periphe ry of the experimental domain. Satisfactory solutions of five and elev en points have been found.
