Abstract
The first ab initio calculations of the refined Cr- ion energy structu re through consideration of the interelectron interactions and the pho todetachment cross section (partial and total) in the vicinity of the 3p(6) shell threshold are reported. The resonance behaviour is found t o be associated with the excitation and autodetachment of the quasibou nd '3p(5)3d(6)4s(2)' state to 3p, 3d and 4s channels.
