Abstract
A complete analogue of Kolmogorov's perturbation algorithm in classica l mechanics is presented for perturbations of self-adjoint operators. The resulting perturbation theory is different from the usual Rayleigh -Schrodinger (or Kato-Rellich) perturbation theory.
