Abstract
The two-dimensional separation of ten structurally related H-1-antihis tamines is described. Computer-simulated two-dimensional chromatograms and optimization functions were used for method development. Chromato graphy on three types of stationary phase is discussed. The best separ ation was achieved on silica gel plates and this method was validated. A pharmacopeial identification test by two-dimensional thin-layer chr omatography is presented; it includes a system-suitability test.
