Abstract
A comparative analysis of the behavior of liquid portion of solidifyin g alloy in the two-phase region of cigar-shaped diagram is presented. The composition distribution functions of solidifying ahoy and the ana lysis of spectral heat (rate) of solidification in equilibrium and qua siequilibrium conditions of solidification are given. The cases provid ing the basic difference in the behavior of the distribution function and spectral heat of solidification in equilibrium and quasiequilibriu m conditions art shown.
