ATOMIC VIBRATION-SPECTRA OF THE METALLIC-GLASS NI64ZR36

This paper describes measurements of the inelastic neutron scattering spectrum of samples of the metallic glass Ni64Zr36 grown using an isot ope of Ni. These measurements were used to reconstruct the partial den sities of vibrational states of the atoms Ni and Zr; A weakening of th e interatomic interactions of Ni with surrounding atoms was identified , but found to be less important than numerical calculations predicted .
