Various inclusions (rutile, zircon, aluminum-free phlogopite, magnetit
e, graphite, Ca-Mg-siderite, lonsdaleite ingrowths, Fe-sellaite, fluor
ite, rare-earth minerals, kaolinite, Fe oxides, feldspar, and barite)
were detected in diamond microcrystals from Liaoning (China) by analyt
ical transmission electron and scanning electron microscopy. These inc
lusions reflect various stages of the geological evolution of diamond
microcrystals.
