We present core level X-ray photoelectron spectra of C-60. 2(Ph3P)AuCl
. 0.1C(6)H(5)CH(3) and related compounds. It is shown that the compos
ition of surface layer of C-60. 2(Ph3P)AuCl . 0.1C(6)H(5)CH(3) crystal
s is very close to that in bulk; the charge transfer between the donor
and C-60 is small. Satellite structure near photoelectron peak C1s th
at appears due to ''intrinsic'' losses created under photoionization i
s observed. The analysis of the satellite structure shows that the los
s channel, which is characteristic for all the compounds with Ph3P lig
and, is suppressed for C-60. 2(Ph3P)AuCl . 0.1C(6)H(5)CH(3) complex. (
