The type specimens of Phaeocollybia spoliata from India (Narkanda), P.
spadicea from U.S.A. (Washington) and P. subarduennensis from Costa R
ica (Cartago) were reexamined. New considerations on their description
s are presented, including line drawings of their features and SEM pho
tomicrographs of the spores. In the latter two, type specimens are mix
ed and each contains elements belonging to two additional Phaeocollybi
a species.
