Lohawat Meteorite is a differentiated silicate rich aerolite of the hi
gh calcium howardite type. Unquestionable magmatic signature is stampe
d by ophitic, intersertal and spinifex texture, corona and vesicular s
tructures, as seen in lithic fragment clasts. The simple mineralogy ha
s been discussed in terms of the system olivine-clinopyroxene-plagiocl
ase-silica. Varietal texture and compositional features suggest that t
he meteorite has sampled terrains of distinctly different genetic hist
ory.
