Abstract
The changes in UK electricity supply are best understood by determinin g key variables and analysing their effect on costs, reliability, and the environment. The analyses in this article suggest that only stockh olders have benefited, while the increased costs of competition, coupl ed with inadequate regulation, have harmed users of electricity.
