Mwt. Wong et al., FAULT COVERAGE IMPROVEMENT OF LINEAR ANALOG CIRCUITS BASED ON ERROR SIGNAL ANALYSIS, International journal of electronics, 84(2), 1998, pp. 137-146
Fault-tolerant design of analogue circuits is more difficult than that
of digital circuits. Only a few fault-tolerant schemes for analogue c
ircuits have been published. The continuous checksum-based technique i
s a relatively new method for the design of fault-tolerant linear anal
ogue circuits. It involves the use of an analogue checker to provide c
oncurrent error detection. However, some faults in the passive element
s cannot be detected if the checker has not been designed appropriatel
y. This paper addresses the fault coverage issue in the continuous che
cksum-based technique and proposes an error signal analysis based meth
od for improving fault coverage of the checker. An example is given to
highlight the contributions of this paper.
