Abstract
A simple and reliable class E inverter for induction heating applicati ons is proposed. Its topology presents only one power electronic switc h. Control strategy is based in switch current sensing. The circuit mo del behaviour is analysed, and the limits of normal operation and comp onents aspects (construction, stresses etc.) are also discussed. Compu ter simulations are presented and compared with results measured on th e operational prototype, in order to validate both the theoretical mod el and computer simulation.
