Abstract
Longitudinal ultrasound velocity was measured for DMAGaS crystal along the x, y and z direction, where x is parallel to spontaneous polariza tion direction and y is parallel to the two-fold crystallographic axis . Anomalous changes of ultrasound velocity give evidence for the first -order phase transition at T-c1 = 135 K, close to the tricritical poin t.
