Abstract
Multiple-wavelength photonic integrated emitter arrays are demonstrate d for low cost direct-coupled wavelength-division multiplexing applica tions. Each array consists of eight pie-shaped top-emitting vertical-c avity lasers with a manufacturable planar structure. The achieved line ar channel spacing and total lasing wavelength span are 4.0 and 28.8nm , respectively.
