Abstract
This paper deals with the robustness analysis problem of interval matr ices, Expansion of det (A + B) is used to get characteristic polynomia ls of two corresponding systems. Kharitonov's theorem is applied to te st Hurwitz properties of the two polynomials, A new sufficient conditi on, for all eigenvalues of the interval matrix to lie in a damping-con e on complex plan, is derived. Illustrative examples are given.
