La. Ageev et al., STUDY OF SPONTANEOUS GRATING FORMATION IN PHOTOSENSITIVE FILMS BY MEANS OF SMALL-ANGLE SCATTERING, Pure and applied optics, 7(1), 1998, pp. 1-5
The formation of spontaneous gratings induced by a polarized laser bea
m in thin photosensitive AgCl waveguide films, doped by Ag, was studie
d by means of small-angle scattering. It is shown that small-angle sca
ttering is determined by the domain structure of the spontaneous grati
ngs and arises because of the re-emission of waveguide modes by neighb
ouring domains. The instability and reorganization of the gratings hav
e been found and studied upon the change of the azimuth of the laser b
eam polarization.
