Five species of Mimapsilopa are reported from the West Indies (includi

ba. Pinar del Rio: Soroa (2 km NW, 22 degrees 48.6'N, 83 degrees 1.0'W
); M. dominicana (Dominican Republic. La Vega: Salto Guasara (near Jar
abacoa; 19 degrees 04.4'N, 70 degrees 42.1'W; 680 m); and M. bacoa (Do
minican Republic. La Vega: Jarabacoa (5 km S; 19 degrees 05.8'N, 70 de
grees 36.5'W; 640 m). Two of the new species, M. cubensis and M. domin
icana, are sister species, forming a monophyletic lineage within Mimap
silopa that is characterized by the wide face and greatly enlarged ant
enna of the male. The third new species is closely related to M. cress
oni Lizarralde de Grosso.
