Abstract
Analytic expressions are derived for the frequency and for the decay d ecrement of relaxation oscillations of the intensity of lambda = 2 mu m radiation from a thulium laser. Numerical estimates of these two par ameters are obtained for a Tm3+:YSGG crystal laser.
