Abstract
Trimolter larvae (undergoing three larval molts) of Bombyx mori were i nduced artificially by administrating yl-5-[(E)-2,6)-dimethyl-1,5-hept adienyl]-imidazole (an insect growth regulator called KK-42) shortly a fter the third molt, and analyzed by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresi s for the banding patterns of haemolymph proteins. The features were s imilar to those previously reported for allatectomy-induced trimolters , which mimicked the trait of the recessive trimolting mutant rt rathe r than that of the dominant trimolting mutant M-9.
