Abstract
The linear theory for magneto-acoustic-gravity waves in an anisotropic and stratified magneto-plasma is extended. In particular it is shown how to generalize the results of previous authors to consider anisotro pic pressures according to the generalized Chew-Goldberger-Low model. The possibility of instabilities is demonstrated.
