Abstract
The novel diarylheptenone 1-(3',4'-dihydroxyphenyl)-7-(4 ''-hydroxyphe nyl)-4-hepten-3-one and 1,7-bis(p-hydroxyphenyl)-4-hepten-3-one were i solated from Alnus rubra bark and their structures elucidated by spect rometric techniques.
