Abstract
Using the Maxwell-displacement-current (MDC) measurement, the piezoele ctric property of monolayers is examined. The equation representing th e piezoelectric coefficient is derived in connection with the MDC. The piezoelectric coefficient of 4-cyano-4'-alkyl-biphenyle (5CB) monolay ers was determined on the basis of the derived equation.
