Abstract
We establish criteria for the nonexistence of eventually positive (neg ative) and monotonely decreasing (increasing) solutions of the partial difference inequality [GRAPHICS] where g(i)(m) and h(i)(n), 1 less th an or equal to i less than or equal to tau are some deviating argument s. Several examples are presented to dwell upon the importance of the results obtained.
