Abstract
Experimental and theoretical investigations were made of the excitatio n of surface electromagnetic waves in a corrugated thin metal film. Th e process was found to be accompanied by a specific change in the refl ection coefficient. It was shown that the excitation of surface electr omagnetic waves in a thin metal film may be used in sensor application s.
