Vi. Smirnov, 2-POINT LASER-DOPPLER MEASUREMENTS OF TURBULENCE ON THE BASIS OF THE PHOTOSHIFT OF SCATTERED MIE WAVES, Measurement techniques, 40(6), 1997, pp. 557-563
The theory of the scattering of Mie waves is used to analyze and calcu
late the metrological characteristics of laser-Doppler systems for mea
suring the three-dimensional structure of turbulence. The signal forme
d in these systems is due to interference in the scattering of waves f
rom different particles crossing spatially separated regions in which
two laser beams are focused. The optimum parameters of the scatterers
and optical systems are calculated for specific applications.
