Abstract
The available literature indicates that anorexia nervosa is rare in Ar ab culture. We report 5 cases of anorexia nervosa: 3 female and 2 male patients. Two are UAE nationals, 2 are Omanis, and I is Sudanese. The occurrence oi these cases is discussed in the context oi sociocultura l changes and the increasing westernization of the UAE society.
