Abstract
Fine anisotropic powders oi NdFe10.5V1.5Nx with (BH)(max) = 17 MG Oe, B-t = 10.6 kG, and H-cJ = 4.2 kOe were prepared by optimising the nitr ogenation process and grinding time. The magnetic properties oi the po wders are very sensitive to the nitrogenation temperature and time and also to the particle size. The temperature stability oi NdFe10.5V1.5N x is better than that of Nd-Fe-B magnets. I: was found that NdFe10.5V1 .5Nx was a promising candidate for permanent magnet applications.
