KEEN LONG-EARED BAT, MYOTIS-KEENII, CONFIRMED IN SOUTHEAST ALASKA

Myotis keenii is apparently restricted to the Pacific coastal forests of northwestern North America. The only documentation of M. keenii in Alaska has been a specimen collected in 1887, causing uncertainty abou t whether this species normally occurs there. We describe two new reco rds which indicate that M. keenii may be a regular member of the South east Alaska fauna and we provide measurements and information on diet for this poorly documented species.
