Abstract
Dimethylsilyl-bis(2-methyl-4-phenyl-1-indenyl)MCl2 (M = Ti, Zr, Hf) co mplexes in combination with methylaluminoxanes produce isotactic polyp ropene. The Ti catalysts produce isotactic polypropene which is more s tereoregular than that obtained with traditional, heterogeneous cataly sts. Zr produces low molecular weight, weakly isotactic waxes at pheno menal rates greater than 32 . 10(6) gPP/[(mol catalyst) . h . (mol/l m onomer)]. Hf produces long, softer isotactic chains with good activiti es.
